こんな事がありました/This is what happened
砂漠地帯出身の彼にとって、雨は大したことがない。
私はジメジメした日本で育ったので雨に濡れたくない。
濡れたら風邪をひく！
髪の毛がうねる！
とかそんな意識は皆無。
ましてや、
「相合い傘 濡れてる方が惚れている」
なんてコンセプトは、彼は聞いた事がありません。
In Japan, there is a lot of rain through a year.
Because the weather is moist and difficult to get dry. So people want to avoid to get soaked.
Also when you share an umbrella, there is a saying "the more wet the more being love." But he who grow up in a desert doesn't have those concepts.
こうして乗り越えました/This is how I get over
もう相合い傘はしません。
自分の傘は自分でさします。
彼は濡れても平気なので傘が一つしかない時は私が使ってます。
I don't share an umbrella any more although it's romantic thing in Japan and convenient because we don't use much space.
When there is only one umbrella, he gives me one because he don't care to get wet.

私にとってロマンティックな事でも、
彼にとってはそれのどこがロマンティックなの？って言う感じです。
しかしそれもまた文化を超えた

天気や地理的条件が文化に及ぼす影響って大きいですよね。
Even though the this is romantic for me in my culture, it's not at all in his head.
